Agree with others, not a 5 star hotel by any means. Courtyard by Marriott appeared to be much more what we were looking for in terms of comfort and accommodations….go there instead if you’re debating where to stay.
Amenities were bare bones, no ambiance at the pool and lifeguards make guests uncomfortable by staring since they didn’t have much to do. Waiters asked for cash tips stating any tips left on cards take a long time to be received. No lobby bar, no decaf coffee in cafe and drinks were watered down.
When late check out was requested to accommodate flight on day of departure, front desk allowed for an extra free hour and quoted about $85 to stay a couple more hours. When contacted two hours later to pay, was told a large group of people were arriving and they were unable to offer a late check out after all (hotel was visibly empty by the way). I then rushed to get ready to leave on time and was called back and told they would accept my payment for a later checkout. Ridiculous. Opted to leave and enjoy the city for 8 hours instead.
Will definitely not be back. Do not waste your time or money at this hotel.
The sheets on the bed were dirty, room was dusty, hair on the floor. Noisy pool music. They did resolve the issues after talking to desk. Also restaurant wont open until six pm. Don’t look for peace and quiet there, always someone talking …
It’s an all inclusive resort. Nice and clean, good service at the reception and coffee shop, variety of drinks and if you want brand names you can purchase separately. Rooms are clean, and spacious. Great access to the beach, pretty close …
Aweful experience. Not worthy in terms of value for money, people at the front desk were uninterested when asked for a decent shampoo and sopa bottles as ours were opened and the trigger did not work. The room walls were dirty and poorly …
Our first time there and also the last time. The bed were great. No mini fridge in there which should have been. The shampoo bottles were empty when we got there and stayed empty. The all inclusive sucks it really sucked so watered down they had no taste. Way too many stupid rules. Restaurant food was ok but the menu every day no changing it up at all only one restaurant. Not kid friendly the grounds way to small not nearly enough chairs for all the people no chairs or umbrellas on the beach
This hotel is clean, beautiful, and in a wonderful location. Carlos that works as the concierge and Alex at the pool were very courteous and exceptionally helpful. I can't wait to visit again!
Place appears to be 5 star, but is lacking in so many ways. No lobby bar, no wash towels, shampoo and hand soap containers were empty in shower, had only shampoo ar sink to use to wash my hands. The elevators were constantly wet from bare- Foot children running around all day and into telhe late evenings . The beach is anout 4’ wide at low tide. Parking is difficult given the design of the lot. Really not thr best hotel- and thr minimalism foind throughout creates a sense of blandness. Needs a bit of color, a bit more charm. Overall this hotel is Better auited for Mexico City and not a beach. Oh amd the coffee is horrible.
Resort location is excellent, beach front and Infinity pool. They only have one restaurant buffet. Not enough options for dining and there is no bar or night life inside the resort. They have a café where you can buy alcohoic drinks …
